The Media and Public Affairs (MPA) building is located at 805 21st Street, N.W. at the corner of 21st and H streets on GW’s Foggy Bottom campus. The administrative offices for the School of Media and Public Affairs are located on the fourth floor of the MPA building.

The Foggy Bottom-GWU Metro subway station is located on campus, just three blocks from the MPA Building, and both Blue and Orange lines stop there. We are convenient to National Airport and Union Station (AMTRAK) by either taxi or Metro. From Dulles International Airport, you may take the Washington Flyer limousine to many downtown hotels. Arrivals to Baltimore-Washington International Airport may take the Super Shuttle or AMTRAK directly into Washington, D.C.

The Visitor Center will be happy to validate parking for use in the University Visitor lot at the Foggy Bottom campus. The Visitor Center is located in the Academic Center on our Foggy Bottom campus at 801 22nd Street, N.W.

Driving to Our Campus

From North
Interstate 95 south to Interstate 495 (Capital Beltway) toward Silver Spring/Northern Virginia.
Take exit 33, heading south on Connecticut Avenue for about 9 miles.
Turn right onto Florida Ave. (just past the Washington Hilton) and turn left immediately onto 21st Street.
Turn right on I Street.
The visitor entrance to the parking garage is on the left between 22nd and 23rd Streets.

From Northwest
Interstate 270 to Interstate 495 (Capital Beltway) toward Silver Spring.
Take exit 33, heading south on Connecticut Avenue for about 9 miles.

Turn right on I Street.

From West
Interstate 66 and Route 50 both connect with the Theodore Roosevelt Bridge.
Cross the bridge and exit left at E Street, then again at Virginia Avenue.
Bear left, following signs for 23rd Street.
Turn right on 23rd Street and continue a few blocks to campus.
Turn right on I Street.
The visitor entrance to the parking garage is on your right between 22nd and 23rd Streets.

From South
Interstate 95 to Interstate 395 Arlington Memorial Bridge exit.
Cross the bridge and bear left at the Lincoln Memorial.
Turn left onto 23rd Street, continue a few blocks to campus.
Turn right on I Street.
The visitor entrance to the parking garage is on your right between 22nd and 23rd Streets.

Metro
Take either the blue or orange line to the Foggy Bottom-GWU metro stop.
Exit the metro station onto 23rd Street, turn right and walk to the intersection of 23rd and H Streets.
At the intersection, turn left and walk east on H Street until you reach the MPA Building, at the corner of 21st and H Streets.
Enter on either 21st or H Streets.
