Broadcast Summer

The Broadcast Summer is an exciting ten-week summer program that provides a rare glimpse into the planning and production of Washington, D.C. public affairs television programs. The three-course package arms students with skills in television production and broadcast news writing, and invites them to explore the role of mass media in a democratic society. Students will receive hands-on instruction in television production and will produce their own public affairs show that will air on GWTV, Channel 6, SMPA's closed-circuit cable channel.
