Background

Joe Graf began his professional journalism career as a general assignment and police reporter at the Wisconsin State Journal in Madison, Wis., from 1985 to 1988. He also worked as a summer intern at the Journal and The La Crosse (Wis.) Tribune. He worked at the Centre Daily Times in State College, Pa., from 1988 to 1992, covering most local newspaper beats.

Graf is currently a doctoral candidate in the department of communication at Stanford University.
