SMPA students like you are very rigorous about their studies, but are also very engaged in the world around them. As a student in the heart of Washington D.C., you will want to do more than just take classes.
For some, that means coming to hear speakers who are some of the most prominent journalists and political figures in Washington. For others, it means working for GWTV, the campus television station based in the SMPA building, or working for the GW Hatchet, the Daily Colonial or the campus radio station. Or, it means working for the College Democrats or College Republicans or one of the many advocacy groups on the campus.
In other words, you are part of an actively engaged community that is proud of SMPA and proud to be studying at GW in the heart of the nation's capital.
Every SMPA student's email address should be on the SMPA listserve. Recipients receive the weekly SMPA newsletter with vital information about internships, events, faculty and the curriculum. To make sure you are listed, send an email to smpa@gwu.edu or call the SMPA 4th floor desk at 202-994-6227.
