Prime Movers Media Program

The Prime Movers Media program sends veteran journalists and university interns to mentor high school students in elective media classes in Washington D.C. and after-school media clubs in Philadelphia. They all help students and teachers create or revitalize school-based media programs in television, radio, print and digital /online production.

The International Media Seminar

The goal of the International Media Seminar is to combine the excitement of spending the Spring Break in Paris with a substantial and unique learning experience, focused on the changing nature of communications media in a new global environment.

Face the Facts USA

The project, based at the School of Media and Public Affairs, is a nonpartisan, multi-platform content hub and civic engagement initiative dedicated to elevating the tone of national debate with provocative facts. Led by SMPA’s Center for Innovative Media, Face the Facts USA uses pop culture-themed digital videos, lively infographics, and extensive social media to help voters become more informed on today’s most important topics.

GW Debate Team

The GW Debate Team is a policy debate team that competes at both national and regional tournaments. The team has a well-established history of winning tournaments and training future leaders from majors across GW.
