Summer Programs
DIGITAL NEWS (not offered summer 2012)
Digital News offers students six weeks of hands-on training in all phases of modern reporting in the digital age: from writing, to shooting and editing, uploading to the web, and presenting news stories in a studio. The 8-credit program arms students with production and writing skills that are invaluable in today's digital environment. Students will construct news packages and upload them to their own website and conclude the summer by presenting a broadcast as a local news program, which will air on GWTV. The program is open to anyone interested in communication outreach, messaging and writing; no prerequisites are required. Students will be registered for both classes.
