Braver Angels is a national citizens’ movement to bring liberals and conservatives together at the grassroots level. Through workshops, debates, and campus engagement, Braver Angels help Americans understand each other beyond stereotypes, form community alliances and reduce the vitriol that poisons our civic culture. They currently have multiple internships available.

Internship Opportunities:

`1. Looking for two interns to reach out to high schools and colleges about holding Braver Angels Debates. We’ve been successfully running these Debates online, although they were originally designed to be held face to face. To learn more about Braver Angels Debates, visit https://braverangels.org/what-we-do/debates/. The intern(s) would work with our national Debates Coordinator on this project. If interested, contact April Lawson, [email protected], and cc Donna Murphy, [email protected].

2. The Braver Angels Co-State Coordinator for California seeks an intern to assist him with his duties in California, including organizing and managing Braver Angels events for Californians, and interacting with volunteers. If interested, contact Randy Lioz, [email protected], and cc Donna Murphy, [email protected].

3. Braver Angels seeks an Internal Content Volunteer who assists the Social Media Team in collecting and framing content unique to Braver Angels. Much of this work will involve interviewing Braver Angels members and then developing content based on their stories. The content will be shared on Braver Angels’ various social platforms, and it will likely be used elsewhere in the organization. A journalism background is a plus but not needed. If interested, contact James Coan, [email protected], and cc Donna Murphy, [email protected].

4. Braver Angels of Central Texas seeks help from an intern with communications and outreach activities.  They would see the individual helping to streamline and enhance their communications, and to deepen their outreach. In particular, one project would be to help them obtain and edit some footage of younger people, ideally from their own region, doing Braver Angel's activities and perhaps talking about Braver Angels in a way that could make its local videos more appealing to younger individuals.  One of their current important focus areas involves colleges and universities in their area (including Austin), and so having the opportunity to engage an intern who is a peer of those they want to target would be very attractive. If interested, contact Karl Schmalz, [email protected], and cc Donna Murphy, [email protected].
