Nicolás Velasquez Hernandez

Nicolás Velasquez Hernandez is a political and data scientist with 15 years of experience in the analysis of civil wars, collective action, and on-line coordination. Currently, he is working in algorithmic detection of social and political coordination signals in on-line streams. Formerly a lecturer at Universidad Sergio Arboleda (Bogotá, Colombia), and at GWU’s Elliot School of International Affairs. He’s a former post-doctoral research scientist at GWU’s Department of Physics, and former Graduate Fellow at the University of Miami’s Center for Computational Sciences.
