May 13, 1985, was the day MOVE, a black liberation group in Philadelphia, was bombed by police. Eleven people were killed and more than 60 homes were destroyed.

Now, 30 years later, SMPA Professor Jason Osder's award-winning documentary film 'Let the Fire Burn' has brought attention back to the incident, the mistakes made at the time, and what we can learn moving forward. The film was screened in multiple locations last week in tandem with the anniversary of the bombings. A number of press outlets reached out to Professor Osder to discuss the anniversary of the MOVE bombings and discuss the film, including Philadelphia Citypaper, The Guardian and KQED.
