DC Inno seeks editorial interns for spring 2018 to cover the innovation economy in Washington. DC Inno is the voice, the hub and the chronicle of the growing communities of venture-backed startups, high-tech firms, life sciences, research, retail and restaurant concepts.

As an editorial intern, you'll have opportunities to:

  • Write under your own byline with help from experienced editors
  • Build your social following
  • Pursue stories that interest you
  • Cover breaking news
  • Attend trainings and other professional development sessions
  • Gain first-hand experience with multiple aspects of a growing media business, including events, marketing, sales, product development and technology. 

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Clips to show, especially if they demonstrate an interest in business, entrepreneurship, innovation or science
  • Experience with multimedia reporting: photo, video, audio, etc.
  • Active social media accounts, demonstrating a love of conversation, news and ideas
  • Ambition for a successful career in the media industry.

Internships are part-time paid positions at a maximum 20 hours per week and $10 per hour.
