2020 Planet Forward Summit
At the 2020 Planet Forward Virtual Summit, learn how the best environmental change agents use storytelling to transform their audiences from passive listeners to engaged doers.
With the goal in mind of keeping the 2020 event as interactive and engaging as possible in a virtual environment, Planet Forward has broken up the usual daylong Summit to 2-hour windows on three consecutive Fridays: October 16, 23, and 30, from 1-3 pm ET. A Zoom link will be sent prior to each week's event.
Here's what's happening each week:
October 16: This summer we saw a collision of climate issues, the global pandemic, and our country’s racial reckoning. We look at the path ahead in an exclusive interview with the Rev. Lennox Yearwood Jr., president and founder of the Hip Hop Caucus and its Think 100% climate communications and activism platform. We could not have a better guest to speak with us about the climate emergency, climate justice, our planet, and the future.
October 23: How do institutions create meaningful change? Some higher education institutions are leading the way on sustainability. We look at the process of making broad changes to address past injustices — and to reduce facilities’ impact on our planet.
October 30: Despite our new, mostly virtual world, speaking together as one voice has never held more power. Organizations are listening and changing their approaches to meet consumer demands. We look at how the power of change lies in our hands, as we move the planet forward.
