JWV seeks a self-motivated individual to be our Communications Intern. This is a perfect opportunity for talented students who want to get involved in the communications arena.
Responsibilities
Duties include monitoring and reporting on daily news clips, issue tracking, maintaining press contact lists, special event support, creating social media content and website content assistance. In addition, you will be working on content for the Jewish Veteran, JWV’s publication, and will be crucial to the development and planning of each issue of the newspaper. This position requires up to 20 hours a week.
Qualifications
A background in journalism or communications and special skills such as photography, video editing and graphic design a plus, but not required. Undergraduate and graduate students, as well as recent graduates, are encouraged to apply. Interest in military and veterans issues a plus.
Salary
Unpaid. May qualify as course credit depending on institutional requirements.
