The Development and Casting department at Lucky Dog Films is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated intern to join its team for the summer semester! We are an unscripted television production company based out of downtown Silver Spring, Maryland.
Ideally, you will be a student studying Film, Television, Communications, or something similar. Must be able to commit three days a week minimum.
If you have a love and passion for all forms of non-scripted/reality TV, with a strong interest in developing a career in unscripted television content and creation, then this internship is for you!
Responsibilities
- Conducting and organizing research for projects
- Helping to cast potential talent
- Cold calling potential talent
- Attend and pitch ideas in brainstorming meetings
- Assisting in the preparation of written, graphic, or video-based pitch materials
- Maintaining development files
- General Administrative Duties
- Anything else necessary to support the Development team
Skills Required
- Must have very strong research skills
- Excellent communication skills via phone, email, and Skype
- Keen knowledge of social media platforms and trends
- Ability to adhere to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently as needed
- Organized and detail-oriented when completing tasks
- Final Cut Pro, Adobe Photoshop and InDesign skills are a plus, but not required
- Ability to use discretion regarding projects in development
