Freelancing 101

Presented by the Center for Career Services and GW Libraries
Tue, 19 September, 2017 5:00pm

Curious about what makes a successful freelancer in this job market? Please join the Center for Career Services and GW Libraries for a workshop that will explore freelancing tools and best practices. Topics will include identifying job opportunities, contracts, industry market rates, resources, and copyright. At the end of the session you will hear from alumni who've experienced freelancing opportunities and how it has impacted their career plans and expanded their professional networks.

This workshop is part of the Ready to Work Career Series, which introduces the practical skills you need to get the job and impress the boss. Other workshops in this Fall 2017 series are Studying in Africa, Developing Engaging Presentations, Shaping Your Professional Online Presence, and Finding Information on Firms, Companies, and Industries. All sessions will be first-come, first served.

The new STEM lab is located on the entry floor of Gelman Library.
