John Barth

John Barth is the recently retired Chief Content Officer of PRX, named by Fast Company magazine as one of the Top 10 Most Innovative media companies. 

John was responsible for almost all the content that PRX distributes, markets and produces. He lead the development and launch of the investigative reporting program Reveal with The Center for Investigative Reporting; and The Moth Radio Hour, both Peabody Award winners.

He’s overseen podcasts from The Smithsonian, Outside magazine and leads the development of new content. 

John was the founding producer of Marketplace, ran AOL's news channel and was in charge of original content for Audible. 

John has been a reporter, producer and news director at public radio stations in Missouri, Minnesota and Philadelphia. John lives in St. Louis.
