Movie Marketing Internships @ Allied Global Marketing

August 22, 2019

Love movies? Allied Global Marketing, one of the nation’s leading entertainment PR agencies, is looking for qualified interns in the Publicity & Promotions Division. From summer blockbusters to indie hits, we represent the biggest names in Hollywood, including Warner Bros, Disney, 20th Century Fox, Paramount Pictures, Universal Pictures and more.

Interns will assist on marketing campaigns for upcoming movies, learn the strategy behind promotional and publicity work, interact with local press and media partners, and help reach audiences at the grassroots level. We’re looking for bright, energetic, creative self-starters with strong detail orientation and excellent verbal and written communication skills. Communications, public relations and marketing majors are strongly encouraged, but all majors will be considered.

ALL APPLICANTS MUST BE CURRENT STUDENTS. These positions are only open to those currently enrolled in an accredited college or university.

College Ambassadors (Paid):

  • Work with an Allied team assigned to one specific film studio. Studios may include Disney, Warner Bros., Paramount, Sony, and more.
  • Work on all films released by that studio during that semester.
  • Primarily work from home/campus and must have access to computer, internet and phone service.
  • Meet with the Allied studio team in their Farragut North-area office once per month.
  • Work on-site at evening and/or weekend movie screenings or events, as necessary.
  • The number of hours worked is determined by project, averaging approximately 10-15 hour per week.
  • College Ambassadorships are PAID positions. Stipends and number of hours required vary by studio, from $150-$300/month.

Office Interns (Unpaid):

  • Work with Allied teams on studios that do not employ College Ambassadors, including Universal, 20th Century Fox, and more.
  • Must be available to work at least 16 hours per week in our office (1730 M St NW). This can be split up into half days.
  • Must be available one night per week (Monday – Thursday) to assist with advance movie screenings or events as necessary.
  • Office Internships are UNPAID positions and interns must receive college credit. After a semester as an office intern, opportunities as College Ambassadors, as well as paid movie screening/event reps, may be available.

As part of the internship syllabus, CAs and office interns will each make monthly presentations to staff demonstrating their accomplishments, as well as complete a portfolio piece to be used in future job interviews. College credit may be obtained for either position, as available from individual schools.
