Nicki Mayo

Nicki Mayo teaches Introduction to Newswriting and Reporting. Outside the classroom Nicki is the multimedia journalist behind Nicki Mayo News. The Baltimore native and Syracuse University alumna is Black Women Unmuted editor-at-large, as well as a journalist for TV One. Nicki has worked to launch several news orgs including: YNN Buffalo (Spectrum Buffalo), E.W. Scripps’ “The List” and Crofton Patch. Nicki has also worked as a reporter, producer and manager for: Associated Press Radio and AP’s Race and Ethnicity Team, The Philadelphia Tribune, WAMU (NPR), 1430 WNAV, WJHL-TV 11, SNN News 6, CTV 76, BET News and WAER-FM (NPR).
