IMGE is looking for students seeking careers in political campaigns and digital marketing. As an intern you will work alongside political and email teams to execute client strategy including: drafting ad creative, social media account management, producing research and memos, facilitating website edits, producing proposals, and a wide variety of other tasks as they relate to political clients.
This is a paid internship that starts mid-May and ends in August. All applicants must be able to work on-site in Old Town Alexandria, VA.
Responsibilities:
- Modify and update client websites
- Manage social media for clients
- Produce reports, memos and research
- Drafting & copy editing fundraising and marketing email campaigns
- Building email lists online for clients
- Putting together long-term email campaigns
- Thinking creatively about client strategy with the political clients team
Requirements:
- Knowledge of the political landscape in races across the country
- Excellent writing skills and self-starter attitude
- Basic knowledge of digital and social media trends
- Ability to think creatively and to deviate from the norm
- Understanding of social platforms and basic online advertising networks
- Be willing to some work late hours, especially as it gets closer to election season
- Preferred: Experience with WordPress CMS
- Preferred: Experience with Sprout Social
- Preferred: Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud Programs
- Preferred: Basic knowledge of email management systems
