Kickoff at the Corcoran
Mix and mingle with special guests, faculty and classmates at a special kickoff to the school year hosted at the Corcoran School of the Arts and Design.
Enjoy a private viewing of “SPIKED,” featuring the controversial cartoons that got Rob Rogers fired from the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.
Fill your plate with a ridiculously delicious mac-n-cheese bar, envious selection of sliders and a dazzling variety of desserts.
Prior to the reception, join us for a brief welcome from SMPA director Frank Sesno.
He’ll raise the curtain on what promises to be a special year in Washingon and introduce the new SMPA fellows:
- a chief Washington correspondent,
- a former deputy White House press secretary,
- an Emmy award-winning TV news producer
- and a high-ranking American diplomat.
This will be a special evening of wine, cheese, free expression and the freedom of the press.
We hope to see you there!
