The position will require 5-10 hours/week, and the pay is $15/hour. Their preference is for a junior student who will be on-campus for the next three semesters; however, they will consider candidates who are not juniors. Ideally, the student will hold the position for three semesters, but the position will be renewed each semester at the agreement of the student and the SEAS communications director. The position includes responsibility for social media over the summer, as well as during the academic year.
Responsibilities
- The student will take over responsibility for, and further develop, the existing SEAS social media presence.
- The student may be asked at times to assist with other SEAS communications responsibilities.
Qualifications
- Experience with Twitter, Facebook, and other social media platforms. Preferably, the student will have some experience managing them on behalf of an organization.
- An understanding of social media strategy and knowledge of the use of social media to build relationships and strengthen an organization’s digital presence.
- Very strong written English skills, organizational skills, and good judgment are a must.
- Commitment to work 5-10 hours/week throughout the semester, with exceptions understood for mid-terms and finals.
