The Lab uses scientific insights and methods to inform the District's most important decisions, because DC residents deserve a government that asks questions, tests policies, and iteratively improves how it serves the community.
In March 2017, The Lab launched both a biweekly, brown-bag lunch series, The Lunch @ DC, and an accompanying podcast series, The Podcast @ DC, which puts cutting-edge research in conversation with the bureaucratic realities of government. The Podcast gets in the weeds on how to put science into action. Topics are as diverse as the challenges our city government tackles. Typically, guest speakers of Thursday The Lunch @ DC join The Lab’s Director following their public presentation for a follow-up conversation on The Podcast.
Hourly pay, pending available funds. The Lab is also supportive of students receiving academic credit for the internship and will assist required documentation and evaluation.
Resumes will be reviewed on a rolling basis until March 15.
