Ablazin Radio is a multi-cultural multimedia platform based in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. They are a popular source for music, news, and entertainment that primarily attracts members of the Caribbean and African communities. Ablazin Radio started in 2009 and today has grown from its humble beginning, to a studio space for live shows. They have over 150,000 listeners per month and over 8000 followers combined on our social media pages.
Abalazin Radio is looking for multiple interns to join their exciting team.
Communications Intern (On-Air Radio Personality): Ablazin Radio is looking for professional on-air personnel who can create, produce and announce topics on the radio, including music, entertainment, and other topics of interest. Must be enthusiastic about music. Must be able to understand listener’s tastes and stay in touch with music and all related themes.
Graphic & Web Design Intern: The right candidate should be meticulous, hard-working, and able to multi-task in order to meet essential deadlines. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Indesign, Adobe XD, Dreamweaver, and Illustrator) is a plus. Must be able to work independently and in a collaborative group environment.
Marketing/Social Media Intern: Ablazin Radio is looking for marketing & social media personnel who can build and maintain customer relationships and increase sales. Other duties include, assisting with the implementation of promotions and events, managing social media marketing, and content creation. Must be able to effectively prioritize multiple tasks. Must be able to work in a collaborative group environment.
Photography/Videography Intern: Ablazin Radio is looking for creative photography/videography personnel who are proficient in digital media. This position involves coordinating with the marketing & communications team in order to create and develop graphics for social media and the web. Duties also include managing storage of digital media assets and being able to effectively support the team as needed with photography, videography, and multimedia editing of events.
