Here are a few things I know: Everything feels chaotic; I’m behind on a lot; DC United keeps finding ways to get worse; and with the Yankees’ taking two out of three against the Red Sox, baseball is over until the end of March.
A few other things I know are: This particular brand of chaos feels new, but American (and world) politics have been chaotic before; I won’t have to stress about the Red Sox until after spring break; you can get a COVID vaccine without a prescription in DC (got mine at the end of last week at the CVS next to the SMPA); and there are no classes this Thursday and Friday.
The weather is near perfect. DC is full of great walks and places for picnics. Take advantage of the break to be in the city. Walk a neighborhood you’ve never been to or re-visit a familiar spot. Seize the lull. The chaos will still be here, it can manage on its own without you for a few hours.
