The Office of Rep. Will Hurd (R-TX) seeks SMPA students with strong video production skills or a passion for writing about national security and cybersecurity policy issues. Students will have the opportunity to film and produce video projects or draft op-eds on policy issues.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Excellent video production skills
- Strong writing, especially for op-eds
- An interest in national security and cybersecurity policy
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Internships are unpaid, but students gain invaluable work experience. The hours are flexible to accommodate students' hectic course schedules, but generally run 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. when Congress is in session, and 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. when not in session.
