Current Newspapers seeks current students and recent alumni for freelance reporting opportunities.
The most urgent need is for reporters to cover meetings, but freelancers can also cover sports and write feature stories. There will also be opportunities to help with production tasks from time to time.
Compensation will be $25 to $75 per assignment, or $13 per hour when that arrangement is more appropriate.
Assignments requiring in-person reporting will all be in D.C. though not all locations are Metro accessible. All writing can be done remotely.
