About the Position:

Immediate opening for an intern that is hardworking, flexible, detail oriented, able to handle multiple tasks at once and interested in working for a leading PR firm. The candidate must be based in the D.C. metro area and be fluent in both English and Spanish (Portuguese a plus), as well as have strong writing skills, experience multitasking and familiarity with fast-paced environments with multiple deadlines.

You will serve as an intern specializing in communications-related activities for corporate clients and multinational organizations. Assist on multiple accounts; pitch to media; create reports; draft press materials, byline articles, internal stories, and social media posts; and serve as a point of contact for colleagues across the agency’s network in Latin America. After a successful internship completion, there will be immediate opportunities to transition to Junior Account Executive roles.

Paid internship – 15-40 hours/week.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the U.S. team on multiple accounts
  • Help manage PR and communications for corporate clients
  • Assist in the management of current U.S.-based client activities through extensive media relations work, content development, participation in weekly staff meetings and ongoing day-to-day client/team contact
  • Draft and edit English and Spanish or Portuguese content for clients, i.e., news releases, internal stories, monthly media coverage reports, etc.; translation of said content to opposite language.
  • Help organize and manage corporate press events and related logistics; assist in securing media attendance to said events
  • Help manage and increase firm’s social media activities for clients
