Zac Moffatt, former digital director of Romney for President, and Michael Slaby, former chief integration and innovation officer of Obama for America, will share insights from their years in the political trenches on how the Web has reinvented how campaigns are run. The two presidential campaign veterans will discuss how digital technology has changed the face of modern campaigning at an event co-hosted by the George Washington University’s School of Media and Public Affairs (SMPA) and Graduate School of Political Management (GSPM).

This #gwcampaigntech event will be held in conjunction with the 12th Annual American Political Science Association (APSA) Pre CoPre-Conference on Political Communication. It is co-sponsored by SMPA and GSPM’s Shenkman Seminar Series, which documents and analyzes trends and best practices in big data analytics in politics.
 
The theme of the APSA Pre-Conference is “Digital Divides.” It is sponsored by the APSA’s political communication section, SMPA and the Wilson Grand Communications Fund for SMPA.
