Program Internship @ Born This Way Foundation

Born This Way Foundation is looking for an intern based in Las Vegas to support our programming team. A successful applicant will be an excellent communicator, have a passion for mental health advocacy, and an excellent team player who is also comfortable working independently. The position ​will report to the Program Manager and will work closely with the Foundation’s programming team to bring to life multiple projects core to the Foundation’s mission.

While this position will work remotely, they prefer a candidate based in Las Vegas. They will consider candidates based in other locations as well. This internship requires 15 - 20 hours per week for 3 - 4 months. This is an unpaid position.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development and execution of Foundation programs, including: assisting with youth outreach; researching and coordinating with community based organizations; conducting relevant research projects; and assisting with the planning of events and meetings.
  • Assist with drafting program-related written materials including proposals, summaries, and project plans
  • Performing a variety of relevant administrative tasks including note taking and data entry

Qualifications

Required

  • Passionate about mental health advocacy, specifically with youth, and has the ability to relate well with diverse populations
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and timelines in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-starter with a great work ethic, ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills and has the ability to clearly communicate solutions

Preferred

  • Studying social science, communications, or a public-health related field
  • Experience with reviewing qualitative and/or quantitative research and summarizing it for a general audience
  • Experience with project management
