The marketing team at Curology prides itself on creating delightful experiences for our patients at every touch-point. They stay at the top of our game by adapting quickly to feedback and iterating frequently. As a Brand Marketing Intern you will play a key role on the team and with the mentorship and support of the other team members contribute to our most important projects.
This is an on-site paid internship in our San Francisco Office open to both MBA and undergrad students.
Responsibilities
- Assist with day-to-day PR outreach efforts with journalists and industry influencers: work in tandem with outside agency and in-house team to source, identify, and manage inbound journalist requests, track media mentions, measure media impressions, and manage content archives
- Help foster strong relationships with beauty editors, local/national business journalists, industry media outlets to encourage brand awareness
- Conduct competitive analysis on products, claims, language, PR strategies as it relates to various brand initiatives
- Optimize PR outreach processes
Qualifications
- Excited to roll up your sleeves and learn everything there is to learn about public relations
- Passionate about skincare — you pride yourself on knowing all the latest about products and brands
- Always in the know on the latest social media trends, trending beauty influencers and viral campaigns
- Comfortable juggling the organization of a social campaign while responding to urgent press questions that were due 2 hours ago
- An excellent communicator equally comfortable writing a casual email and the most concise pitch for a journalist
- Highly organized and forward-thinking - you have taken care of it before we even thought about it
- Upbeat, caring and empathetic with a passion for helping others
- A deep passion for skincare and beauty products
- Some marketing experience from clubs, side projects or other activities
- Deep curiosity to discover and evaluate beauty influencers on YouTube, Instagram, and other platforms.
- Experience with quantitative analysis using Excel.
- Great verbal and written communication skills
- A keen intuition what marketing messages will resonate with our audience
- Outstanding project management skills
