Location: SMPA (office space provided)
Hours: Up to 20hrs/week
Payment: $15/hr.
Dates: January to May (with possible extension into the summer)
The student researcher will assist the Media and Peacebuilding Project at SMPA.
Primary Tasks
- Research: gathering information/data through various means, including online and phone research
- Content analysis and coding media text
- Data analysis and visualization
- Writing: website/social media updates
Experience / Preferred Skills
The following skills are preferred, but not necessary to have in order to apply:
- Experience conducting primary and secondary research, including gathering information over the phone and online
- Data analysis
- SPSS (or similar statistics software)
- WordPress
- Visualization tools such as Tableau
- Experience with mapping tools
- Python
