Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights was founded as a living memorial to Robert F. Kennedy in 1968. Ever since, it has honored journalists, authors, and human rights activists who, often at great personal risk and sacrifice, are on the frontlines of the international movement for human rights and social justice. Partnering with these courageous and innovative human rights defenders, RFK Partners for Human Rights is the litigation, advocacy, and capacity-building arm of Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights.
Combining a rights-based approach and extended multi-year partnerships with the RFK Human Rights Award laureates and other human rights activists, RFK Partners for Human Rights leverages its legal expertise, resources, and prestige to advance social justice goals around the world.
Responsibilities
- Producing short videos, GIFs, and animations.
- Assisting our in-house designer with infographics, illustrations, and social media assets.
- Participating in team meetings, digital/social strategy & implementation.
- Orchestrating interviews with team members and external partners.
Qualifications
- Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights seeks an undergraduate or graduate student in the field of multimedia and journalism with experience in video production.
- Strong interest in human rights, storytelling, and journalism.
- Proficiency in Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, After Effects, and Photoshop.
- Must be based in New York City and commit to 10-15 hours of work per week.
- $500 monthly stipend with an unlimited MetroCard.
