It is a one day, overnight shoot that will run from 2pm on Tuesday, February 26 - 9am on Wednesday, February 27. They will spend the shoot following 24 hours in the life of a female police officer at the Alexandria Police Department as she goes on calls and takes us through a day in her shoes. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience on the set of a tv show with a team of talented professionals.
They are looking for two interns, ideally one with a decent level of camera/videography experience to act as an AC (Assistant Camera) to their (DP) Director of Photography, Janice Min, who has credits on House of Cards and other premium cable shows. The second intern would be more of a general PA (Production Assistant). They are offering a $200 stipend for each of the positions. Info about the roles below:
Responsibilities
AC (Assistant Camera):
- Keep gear organized (filters, batteries charged, batteries brought to set, cards labeled and organized (which ones are exposed/unexposed))
- Hand off gear to the DP/operator
- Slating
- Support to DP and operators
- Assisting with camera prep before shoot
- Media managing
PA (Production Assistant):
- Just about anything & anything!
- Managing equipment and camera gear
- Handling craft services
- Other miscellaneous tasks
- Be a good listener, responsible, and willing to learn!
