Arzillion is a startup company that has developed software for writing and publishing snippets. The company is now scaling their snippet writing and publishing.
Snippets are a new way of writing and communicating information. Arzillion turns top news into snippets, organizing the same information you’d find in news articles into crisp and focused compartment that are quicker to read and easier to recall than news articles.
Their website covers current news topics on a wide range of topics. Current snippets cover the JPSS satellite, how Mescal is made, the GOP tax plan, North Korea and more. The company hopes to publish hundreds of snippets every day.
Interns will focus on writing and/or editing snippets. The role of editor is crucial because writing snippets requires analytical thinking which can vary widely among writers. An editor should be able to notice flaws in a snippet and improve the writing.
Working at a startup gives students increased opportunities to take on greater responsibilities in the organization.
Early in the internship, students will be provided with in-person training, but most of the writing and editing will be done remotely. Interns can work from campus or any other place of their choice.
Interns will be paid based on the number of snippets written that are approved and published. The pay will start at $5 per snippet and increase depending on the difficulty-level of the topic.
