Tensions over Ukraine and Russia have been building up for months and now Russian forces have launched a full-scale invasion of Ukraine. Journalists around the world have been called to the frontlines to bring the most up to date information. News coverage has been intense as global attention has turned to the war and its impact on people, politics, and markets.

What is novel about the news coverage in the U.S. and elsewhere? What are the most striking aspects of the disinformation wars? What aspects of the news coverage confirm your previous experience and knowledge? What does the information environment affect actions and responses by multiple actors?
