Broadcast Studio and 5th Floor MPA

The studio and control room are used for collaborative learning, which includes academic studio production courses, student organizations like GWTV, media training and live events.

The Broadcast Studio is a professional and versatile 35’ X 30’ (1050 sq ft) sound-isolated production studio. It has a touch screen monitor, news set with anchor desks and a 3x3 video wall. There is also a green screen & cyclorama curtain system for Chroma-Key or other solid backgrounds for interviews or other configurations. We have four pedestal-mounted Sony 2K HD cameras with teleprompters, and a computer-driven lighting DMX control system.

The control room contains a professional Ross Graphite video signal control system with a Carbonite production switcher, Ross XPression graphics generator, and a CueScript teleprompter. Our Audio Control room is powered by a 32 channel Yamaha QL5 audio mix console to control audio from various sources during a production. In addition, the control room has a separate sound isolation booth with a broadcast quality condenser microphone for podcasts, voiceovers, and audiobooks, using Adobe software.
