Meet Anna Camp

Senior Student Services Specialist

Hey ya’ll!

My name is Anna Camp, and I was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia. Before settling in D.C., I earned an M.A. in Film and Television Studies from Boston University, and I’m a proud alumna of Phi Mu Women’s Fraternity. I’m a rabid reality television viewer and yogi, and I currently live in Southeast D.C. with my husband and soul kitty Piper.

I’ve been a proud member of the SMPA team for over three years, and I've loved every minute. I’ve had the chance to be part of so many areas of SMPA, from admissions to events, running the SMPA Ambassador program, and even traveling to Paris this past spring with the International Media Seminar class led by Professor Huebner. Getting to know SMPA students and supporting them on their journeys is truly my favorite part of the role.

My advice to SMPA students, or really any GW student, is to enjoy the moment. Your goals and checklists matter, but you don’t want to look back on your time at GW and wish you had slowed down and smelled the roses more. Enjoy being young, go to that event your roommate invited you to, join that student organization, and take the class that pushes you out of your comfort zone. Your time in SMPA should be about more than just what fits on your resume.

Feel free to stop by my office on the fourth floor. I’m always around for a chat about SMPA, life in D.C., or your favorite cast member on Love Island.
